Haiti Found Poem (from a New York Times article on survivors) by Eli Plven-Franke

Caught in the collapse of a hotel.
Bured beneath six stories of rubble.
A Haitian man
Saw the walls ripping,
Heard the explosive sounds.
God gave him the tools to survive.
The iPhone first-aid app taught
Him to stop the bleeding.
Not falling asleep.
Rescued after more than 60 hours,
Scrawling notes to his wife and kids.
Reunited with his family.
“Don’t be upset at God.
He will always take care of you.”
